I'm
just like a lot of scrapbookers - I love the idea of having my
creations published in a magazine - and I've been fortunate to have had a
few chosen these past few years for the Hobby Lobby magazine, Stamping,
Stationery, and Scrapbooking.
But
here's the deal - it's a lot of work to submit pages for publication -
not that I scrap any differently for it - but I do have to keep a list
of every supply / product that I use on the page - and, I'll just admit -
this is hard for me. I find myself creating a page / layout and then
having no idea what the name of the paper is that I just used -
lol. And I often open up embellishments and toss the packaging they came
in - so again, I have no idea who made them.
And it takes TIME to submit to magazines regularly - while I think it would be SO FUN to have something published in Scrapbooks, etc. or Creating Keepsakes,
I just don't take the time to send things into them each and every
month [that's part of the beauty of Hobby Lobby - it's a quarterly
publication.] And then there's the fact that I really have painted more
than scrapbooked this past year - so I have fewer layouts to submit.
[I'm not sure I submitted anything for this last HL deadline...]
Still, it is fun
to see my creations on a magazine page - and I know I'm not 'all that'
and to prove it I'll share my layouts that have been published here
[just to encourage you that ANYONE can be published because you never
know what they might be looking for and what might catch their eye.]
